Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS)
What are your rates?
It depends on the type of project we’re working on. To give you an idea, here’s what I’ve charged some of my clients for previous projects:
- $125-$400 for a single blog post
- $250-$1,500 per month for a blog post retainer package
- $1,000-$5,000 for a white paper
- $750-$3,000 for a lead-generation e-book
I always factor in details like project scope, research, word count, and formatting. Reach out and contact me or schedule a call to discuss your project’s details and get a personalized quote.
Do you offer ghostwriting services?
Of course! If you need a blog post or anything else ghostwritten, please let me know in our discovery call.
Do you incorporate SEO in your projects?
Yes. I always naturally incorporate keywords and internal linkng on any project I work on. That said, my main goal is to give you valuable, search-friendly content that reflects your brand voice and your target audience appreciates. This is the real key to driving traffic to your site and building your brand.
How will we stay connected throughout the project?
I always encourage first-time clients or anyone interested in starting a project to schedule a video call with me via Google Meets or Skype. It’ll much easier for you to give me an overview of your business, the project’s details, and other valauble information you want to share.
If we decide to move forward, we’ll talk via email, Google Docs, or video calls when necessary.
Video calls are included with any project, but please let me know at least 3 days in advance if you’d like to schedule one.
Do you write content in other languages?
Yes. I’m fluent in both English and Spanish, so I can help you create content in either language.
What's your client process like?
I try to make the process as easy as possible for potential clients. Here’s what you can expect to happen:
- Discovery Call: We’ll schedule a call to discuss your goals, project scope, and other relevant information you’d like to share.
- Test Project (Optional): I can create a sample one-off piece for a reduced rate before moving on to more serious projects.
- Details: If you like my work, we can move to dicussing project details like the number of posts per month, rates, scope of work, etc. Once we do this, we’ll sign a contract and move to the next steps.
- Project Start: I’ll share a Google Doc with you and start working on your project ASAP.
What's your turnaround time?
I like to plan client work at the beginning or end of each month, especially if you’re a regular client. During our discovery call, we’ll agree on an appropriate deadline(s) that works for both sides.
For longer projects, however, please let me know at least two weeks in advance to make sure I can give you the best results.
When do I need to pay for the project?
It really depends on the project. However, 99% of my clients fall into one of three scenarios:
- For small, one-off projects, I generally ask for payment upfront.
- For larger one-off projects, I’ll ask for 50% before starting the project and bill you the other 50% once we’re finished.
- For monthly retainers, I’ll bill you at the start of each month.
While I prefer getting paid within two weeks of sending out invoices, I use net 30 with all my clients.
What payment methods do you accept?
I accept most online payment options like credit card, bank transfers, Paypal transfer, Wise transfer, and cryptocurrency.
Do you write samples for free?
You can find plenty of my previous work on my portfolio, I understand you might want a trial project to see if I’d be the right fit. That said, I’ll do a short (up 500 words), one-time trial article for a reduced rate for monthly retainers or long-term projects.
How much time do I have to pay for your services?
For most projects, you’ll have 30 days to pay from the day I send you the invoice. If something comes up and you think you’ll need more time, please let me know ahead of time so we can work something out. I’m willing to work with you as long as you communicate with me.
How do retainer packages work?
Blogging won’t drive in customers overnight. It may take a 3 to 6 months to start ranking in the search results, and possibly longer if you’re in a competitive niche.
That said, I have a 3-month minimum retainer policy. This should be enough time to have a small to medium resource library and start generating some traffic.
If you don’t want to renew your contract, please give me a 14-day notice in writing.
Do you include contracts with each project?
Yes. I always include a basic contract with the scope of work, payment, agreed upon deadline so we both know what to expect. If you have a contract template you like to use with freelancers, that one works too.
What do your prices include with each project?
Every project I do includes everything we discuss during the discovery call, unlimited communucation via email or video chat, and a flexible revision policy.
If we decide to add something that wasn’t discussed previous, I’ll add it to your final bill or invoice it separately.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
If either of us decide to cancel a project before completion, the customer is responsible for any completed work up to that point. Please let me know if you decide to cancel as soon as possible.
